Instructions for Kelly and Ryan Recipes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Butter a standard loaf pan, and then set aside.
In the bowl of your electric mixer or in a large mixing bowl with a handheld mixer, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; mix in baking powder and bananas until combined.
Stir in vanilla extract and salt just to combine; let the batter sit for 5 minutes so that the flavors can meld.
Scrape batter into the prepared loaf pan (it will be thick), resisting the temptation to reach for a spoon.
Sprinkle spice overtop of the batter. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 to 60 minutes (depending on your oven).
Cool in a pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
To make the topping: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Spread melted coconut oil across walnut halves and bake until lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes.
Let cool completely before serving.

Pro Tips to make the recipe tastier:
1) Try using bourbon in place of the vanilla extract for a spicier flavor.
2) If you want to add chocolate chips or another type of sweetener, feel free. Just make sure that they are evenly distributed throughout the loaf pan so that they cook properly.
3) Make sure your bananas are very ripe before making this recipe. Overripe bananas will cause the bread to be dense and heavy.
4) Try cutting the sugar by half if you want to make this recipe less sweet.
